Blood sugar between 100 and 125 means that you are pre-diabetic. Your fasting should be less than 100. Since it is not, you have impaired glucose tolerance and this is something to watch. You didn't say, but if you need to lose weight or get more exercise, now is the time to do it. If you already have things under control, then you just need to continue to be careful and watch what is going on in your lifestyle. Diabetes is a progressive disease and sometimes no matter how well you take care of yourself, it will get worse. It's not your fault, it's just the way things are.

Do you have access to a blood sugar machine? Often the fasting glucose is the last to elevate. It might not be a bad idea to check and see what your blood sugar is 2 hours after a meal - it should be less than 140.
