Hi:

Outside of MAOI's risk factor pretty much goes drug to drug. If I had to make a guess on what your doctor will recommend I would say Wellbutrin, a lot of doctors are turning to it lately. It is known to be a pretty low risk and low side effect drug. It has one heck of a kick to it and not a good drug if you have anxiety issues as it feels like you just slammed back a few cups of coffee, also if you take it late in the day it will effect your sleep. For pure depression I say either Effexor or Paxil as they are the two stronger ones out there, both have lawsuits against them regarding dependency but if they work for you they are going to work very well. Tons of possibilities when it comes to AD's, AD's combos. The key is finding the one that best suits you.
