Kidney disease/damage is typically a very slow process so unless you have uncontrolled high blood pressure at the moment that is causing problems, 2 months is not that big a wait. Once there you can be given diet pointers that can help you maintain kidney function for a long time. Do you have diabetes? This is often a cause of such problems.
