I just had a cadaver kidney/pancreas transplant and I had been on peritoneal diaylsis since april of last year and i was on the waiting list for about 1 1/2yrs.

Another thing people dont realize with getting a kidney from a living donor is that it is twice as hard (recovery and all) for the person giving the organ then the person recieving it.
