Breakthrough Bleeding

It's been going on for 8 days now, and is a pain in the rear. It's not heavy enough for a tampon, but not light enough to avoid wearing a pad. I skipped over my placebo pills and began my next pack in order to avoid my period, but still got breakthrough bleeding anyway (I think I was a few hours late in taking one pill and that was the cause). It's been lightening up for the past few days, but is still stubbornly bleeding and it seems that the morning time is when it happens the most. Is there anything to subside this? Any suggestions? I've heard that Vitamin C supplements works, but I've tried that for 2 days and it doesn't seem to do much. Also, if I have sex tomorrow, will this antagonize the bleeding? Say it goes away by tomorrow, is it likely that it will resurface? Thanks, ladies!
