I waited a little over two years for my implant. I think your urologist would probably suggest your husband wait a little longer. If he's having some signs of natural erections, it might be that waiting a little longer may be worthwhile. I have a friend who had his surgery just 5 weeks before I did, and he's about 3 1/2 years now, and is able with the aid of Levitra and Muse, to achieve adequate erections, and seemingly they're getting better over time. In my case, I could not tolerate the injections, too much pain, and the VED would not work. I've been quite pleased with the implant, except for the lost length. I can't answer for my wife as to how it feels for her, since she has not expressed an opinion, and has other issues that lower her libido and ability to orgasm. I'm sure part of that is that I can't go as deep as before, but it does work quite well, as Art has said.
