Re: is there a nurse helping the surgeon operate? what kind of nurse lpn? rn?

A Surgical Technologist is usually the one helping the surgeon operate. The RN is the unsterile person called the circulator. He/she helps the surgeon and surgical tech with things they might need for the procedure. The RN also helps with counts and documentation. I am a surgical technologist and really enjoy being a part of the OR team.
