Tell your ortho about this. When my knees were replaced(both at once) I had special pumps on my legs to keep the fluid pushed upward towards the heart to keep my legs from swelling. Once home, I was instructed to keep my legs elevated when ever I could. It settles around your ankle.

This excess of fluid can be bad for your circulation and lead to clots in the veins of your leg. So call your ortho and get him/her to advise you on what to do. In the meantime, elevate your leg and ankle as much as possible to help drain the fluid.
