Both types of diabetes are extremely complex. I beleive that a cure will be profitable for whoever finds it, so I don't really believe that there is a conspiracy to prevent a cure. They are also very different in cause and partially in treatment, so you can't lump them together when you are looking for a cure. There are studies being done, but they are in early clinical trial stages and with respect to T1, many of these focus only on those recently diagnosed.

I don't think a reward is necessary as there are so many individuals with D, I think that a cure will be profitable.
