My doctor says that TOO MUCH iodine is BAD for hyperthyroidism and will only make it worse.

However a lot of sites online say stuff like this, "Hyper is caused by lack of iodine." "Iodine deficiencies can cause hyperthyroidism"

But then again I found other sites that say a lack of iodine can cause Hypo..

So WHICH IS IT?
