how do you know if you will require it done laparascopically or the other way? How bad does it have to be that they can't do it the minimally invasive way ? i am calling the doctor on monday but i wanted to hear it first hand from someone else, if they knew. The Hida scan didn't even bring anything u. Everything lit up , but my gallbladder, i was there 4 hours and it wouldn't absorb the damn stuff to light up. Then they did an ultrasound which revealed one big stone about 4cm i think it was and thickening of the walls. I hope i can get teh easy surgery.

In the meantime, is there anything special i can do in terms of diet etc? Thanks for the info.

The reason i ask is b/c my mom had it out the hard way and she wasn't even at the worst during an attack.
