awww almost deaf, i'm so sorry. YES, i have heard of that happening. Right before i went under for mine, my dr. reminded me that if that were the case with me, he would not be able to operate, too risky...i guess you are just one in a million
i hope the hearing aid route works well for you...what about your other ear??
