Oh are you having a 360 fusion? Meaning they go in through both the stomach and the back? I had that with my first fusion but this one was only through the back. The 360 was more difficult to deal with.
Another weird thing. Each time I have had a fusion, it triggers a period. And it is always about 2 weeks early. I have had 2 other significant surgeries and this only happens with a fusion. I think for most people though it delays their period! I am weird I guess!
