Furniture off gassing

I bought a brand new bunk bed (made in Vietnam) for my son's room last week and it is literally making me sick! As soon as the delivery person opened the boxes that contained the bed I developed a terrible headache and my throat got sore. Looking back I should not have let him assemble the bed because now it is too big to remove from the room. I have never had this problem before with any other new furniture I have purchased in the past. The only other time I have had a problem was with a memory foam mattress topper that I kept in the garage for about a week for the smell to dissipate. I spoke with the store owner and he recommended giving the furniture more time to air out but I just want it out of my house. Has any one else experienced this problem with new furniture? The owner said I will have to pay a 33% restocking fee if I return it. I don't feel I should have to pay that because of the fumes. Any advice from the healthboards community will be appreciated.
