I am so glad I found this thread. I have had this VERY same thing happen. I didn't know how to describe it. Its like if I lean just the wrong way with my neck I get the most excrutiating cramp in my neck. It nearly paralizes me. I have had it off and on for maybe a couple of months. I haven't really kept track. But now I have a swollen area or something inside just below my chin right in where the tonsil would be or top of throat. I am afraid of course. I suppose I should head to an ENT. I just hate always running to the doctor without giving something a chance to run it's course.
