So glad it was benign! I have permanent right vocal cord paralysis (had to be sacraficed in surgery June 2009) and I have to say people continually comment on how much better my voice has been sounding. It does take time. It still gets weak but I am so grateful to have a voice at all. I never could sing (though you don't quite realize how much you enjoy singing badly, say in your car, until you can't do it!). Best wishes. I'll be thinking of you too.
