It's absolutely NOT ok to eat before bed. Eating causes your blood sugar to rise and that prevent your pituitary from producing growth hormone. Since 90% of growth hormone is produced within 2 hours of sleeping, eating before bed will stop this important hormone.
People with low growth hormone experience abdominal fat gain, fatigue, muscle/join pains, memory problems, concentration problems and muscle/bone loss. It turns out that growth hormone is really very important whether you are young or old. In fact, some people now speculate that low growth hormone may be responsible for many of the negative aspects to ageing.
