| Re: Thyroid hormone resistance?
Tree Frog, that link was filled with terrific links, thank you very much. I will be busy reading for quite a while!
Here's my thinking behind my question: With type 2 diabetes, my body produces too much insulin. It uses some of it, but the glucose still builds up and is not metabolized. Taking medication helps to sensitize me to the insulin I am already producing but not utilizing.
I am wondering if it's possible to produce thyroid hormone and not be able to utilize all of it. I did not mean that none of the thyroid hormone was used. I was just wondering if the body could be resistant to using it effectively.
I am reading about supplements, but I am overwhelmed. I have to consider the thyroid, type 2 diabetes, and fairly severe hypertension. I'm having difficulty putting all the information together. Thanks for your help.
