Well, from what I have read there is a "multiple" version and a "solitary" version. The "multiple" one is hereditary. My son has a "solitary" one. He doesn't have it anywhere else on his body. He has no pain and can move around easily, which is probably why he never mentioned it.
We aren't doing anything about it except getting established with an orthopedic guy in case anything about the bump changes in the future. So, it's sorta a non-issue at this point.
