This is very difficult to answer because it all depends on the person's previous health history, age, and when you say shock, to what degree the shock is....i.e. did the person have multi-organ failure, or just evidence of hypoperfusion.

Children with cholera, once they get over it, can often be up and at it a week later. The elderly (if they don't die) can require months of rehabilitation because of the all the deconditioning that goes on from lying in bed so long.

On average, if the person lives and there's not a lot of organ damage, 2-3 weeks I'd say.
