when i went to my colon and rectal surgeon i was told that i had several superficial cuts in my sphincter. my CRS told me to take colace and metamucil for a few weeks to see if things got better.

they didn't, and i knew they wouldn't because i had already tried that route and it had been over 2 years at this point that i was dealing with this.

so he scheduled me for LIS surgery. it's a quick, simple, out patient surgery. i am 100% back to normal. it's been exactly a year now since my surgery. took maybe 3-5 months total healing to feel almost completely normal again.

only regret is that i didnt get the surgery done sooner

since it has been 8 weeks, i would opt for the LIS surgery
