If your pain is chronic, and you don't see it diminishing on its own in the future then..... Percocet probably wasn't a good choice for the long term. You will be up and down with your blood plasma levels, in and out of pain, and not happy, IMHO.

Ask your doctor why he feels a short acting pain medication like Percocet is the right medication for the long term. Then ask him why some people take long acting meds like MS-Contin, OxyContin, and Duragesic patches......

I would be interested in hearing his rationale for Percocet..... I think his intent is a short term run, as part of a short term plan...... What next though?
