Unilateral Paralyzed Diaphragm--chances of bilateral?

I was diagnosed with a paralyzed right diaphragm last year. They think it was due to a virus. However, I remember having a severe pain in the right diaphragm area two days before I finally went to the ER with severe shortness of breath. I've been managing fine so far. Last night I had a severe pain in the left side diaphragm area. Feeling more out of breath today than usual.

Just wondering if anyone here had unilateral (one-side) diaphramatic paralysis that ended up becoming bilateral (both sides). Just wondering what the chances are of this happening.

Thanks!
