Re: BPPV and earache

My migraines are better now. I think the migraines are to do with my bc pills and I have switched to a different brand now. I still get headaches which are hormonal I think too.

My sister has BPPV too which she got before me but around the same age. My parents have never had it but I wonder if any of my grandparents did.

I think I was recommended to do the Brandt Daroff exercise and not the Epley.

2 evenings ago I felt something shift in my left ear and since then my dizziness is better so I wonder if what I felt was the crystals moving back into place. I wouldn't say it's gone completely yet as I can still feel the dizzy sensation moving around during the day. At least I can sleep better!!

For the headaches/migraines I just use regular painkillers. Recently I have been using Aleve which seems to work slightly better. All other ones don't affect me whatsoever. I have been prescribed migraine pills before but they have, interestingly affected my BPPV so can't take them.

Haven't thought of Sudafed though.

I haven't used a chiropractor before (my stepdad is a chiropractor but he lives in England where I'm from - I live in Ma). I wish he lived closer.

I do have a friend that is coming over tomorrow who is one though. I will talk to her about it. My only problem is I hate having my neck done as my neck is so sensitive and if I have chiro work done it causes a headache!

It's crazy I'm 38 years old and definitely not the healthiest woman out there. When my mum was this age she was as healthy as a horse!! She still is healthy and she is 81 years old now.

I hope you feel better soon with your cold. My dizziness hasn't been affected with colds that I get. I have noticed when I get sick now I will get coughs now that last for 8 weeks unless I get prescription cough medicine. I don't get colds as much.

Thank you once again.
