I suggest you concentrate on nutritious but high-calorie foods. Fruit or dried fruit, cheese, nuts, lean meats, eggs and whole-grain bread can all help you gain healthy weight.
Vegetables are important, don't stop eating them, but many veggies just don't supply calories, so you need other foods.
Three meals a day might not be enough for you. Try eating nutritious snacks a few times a day. After exercising, I sometimes eat a hard-boiled egg and a piece of fruit.
