Hello all!

I hope you don't mind if I look at a few of the posts here, and maybe ask a few questions if I can't find what I'm looking for. My dad is getting a total knee replacement on January 2, and I'm just looking to prepare myself as to how to best help him afterwards. I live with my parents, and while he has found someone to take care of the heavier chores on the acreage we live on until he is up and moving well and cleared (I work full time), there's pretty much everything I need to learn about the healing process and what I can do to make it easier.

He's fairly young (63) but has had a very physical job all of his life which was hard on his knees particularily, and it's finally time to get it taken care of. I'm nervous about it but I'm sure it'll be fine - just finding as much good information from 'real' people's experiences would be fantastic. Thanks!
