The SSA antibody is associated with Sjogren's disease and lupus, but that does not mean that you have either, especially if you don't have symptoms. Many people have a positive ANA test without having an autoimmune disease. If you DO have an autoimmune disease, it is not always worst case scenario. Many can be treated to control the symptoms and you can get on with life. Each person is different, even within each disease. (I did want to note as well that ANA levels can be raised by a passing virus.)
