Hi. I was taken off the Fluconozole October of 2010 after a 6 month run. I became symptomatic again and yesterday was put back on 600mg a day for two weeks and then down to 400mg. I was diagnosed in November of 2010 but not treated till April. It was an ID doc who took me off the medication and since I've been to ER 3 times and hospitalized once. My new doctor is awesome and believes that the cocci is in my brain and I am heading for meningitis if I don't get back on asap. I live in Oregon so it's hard to find doctors who know about this disease. Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate hearing from other VF people. The more info, the better.
