do you mean Telangiectasias, or "spider veins"? or petechia? If you mean Telangiectasias, they are very common and can be caused by sun damage, among other things. Most of them are benign and mean nothing. They can be associated with autoimmune diseases, but those are very rare, and you would most likely have other symptoms. I have lots of them, so much so that it looks like I have a permanent rash on my neck and chest. I have them on my lips and well, everywhere. But I DO have an autoimmune disease and have lots of other symptoms of it as well. You can always check with your Primary Care Physician or a dermatologist. I know that some people consider them conspicuous, and if you are self-conscious about them, there are plenty of makeup products that specifically cover red marks such as these. Of course I am just a patient and your Dr is the place to go for diagnoses and information.
