Re: electric/shock sensation while falling asleep?

I have been having the same problem as well for nearly three weeks now. It first started as hypnic jerks. I used to twitch violently right when i officially fell asleep. Right now, I also get an electric shock feeling running through my chest and stomach when I officially fall asleep. I also have random twitches when I am awake. Like my fingers, back, lower back, head, toes and legs would twitch very randomly although this doesn't happen as much anymore. I tried drinking gatorade last night to see if it was an electrolyte imbalance, well guess what nothing is working. I am now scared of falling asleep. I have to take xanax to sleep but I don't want to anymore. I don't want to be addicted to it. Have any of you gotten rid of this?
