Re: question about spinal surgery

Those scalp problems may be from a herniated disk at C2-3...it's the C2 nerve that goes to the scalp. the big problem with having C2 fused is that in many states, you can no longer drive as you can't turn your head to the sides enough to see traffic coming. That is why I am not having any neck surgery this time....involves C2 and I need to drive. I have a major problem with the disk at C2-3 but I can put up with it for now. Once hubby retires and I don't need to drive then I'll consider it.

Amazing how we can learn to put up with something once we know the consequences of having it fixed!

And NO grandkids jumping on you....NONE! We think those rules about what we can pick up or how much we can take are just "guidelines" but really, they aren't. If the doc says no kids jumping on your for the next 6 weeks.....he/she really means it....consider it a RULE not a guideline and tell the grands that they have to obey the doc's rules too. I find that is a good way to handle the grands...tell them it's the doctor's rule, not mine. Mine are still little enough to obey the doc if not me. for the bigger ones...just yell more

March 1st is next week so the time if flying by fast. Let me know what the doc says and we will be here for you.

Hugs..........Jenny
