Got approval for neurologist... what next???

Burning pain in left leg between lower knee and ankle on outside of calf.

Any foot movement exacerbates the pain.

Hanging the leg at alll [while walking on crutches, getting in and out of bed etc] increases the pain.

Podiatrist said it was penoreal nerve?

I was approved to see a neurologist and will call today to schedule.

What should I expect from neurologist? What should I ask him/her? Should I demand tests? .......meds?...........treatment?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Has anybody had this problem and had a happy outcome?

Thanks to all.
