I am sorry that your doc had that response. I think it is very typical to still have pain after 2 weeks. I know I have not updated my post recently, but I just had my second NF on February 29, so I am about 3 weeks out of surgery... and I am still taking a bit of pain medicine each day. My incisions are still very sore, especially in the pm and first thing in the morning.
Through several years of dealing with gi health issues, I have learned to be persistent in requesting what I need. I would suggest calling them back and explaining yourself again. If that does not work, then I would request to speak to the doctor directly
I hope that you get some relief and begin to feel better!
