Re: Could this be a pituitary tumor?

As someone who was diagnosed with a pituitary tumour two years ago, what you are describing does sound similiar to my symptoms. However, you shouldn't get worked up about what you read on the internet, it can make you incredibly paranoid.

In reply to BConder83, you need to make sure that you get a hormone test as for me, this showed my first irregularities. I know it's hard to get a doctor to do anything, but nagging is the key! I was referred to an Endocrinologist, not a neurologist and they are very helpful. I never had breastmilk leakage but it was something that they asked me (as it is a common symptom). The weakness could be caused by a thyroid deficiency or cortisol deficiency, both controlled by the pituitary. Hormones too, which could be why you have mood swings.

Don't let it get you down, it's nasty yes, and I hated being in hospital while it was removed, but you are right - very few are cancerous. Try to relax, get your doctor sorted and get that MRI!
