The biggest issue most folks have after a nephrectomy is the time it takes for the remaining kidney to pick up the slack. Since your kidney hasn't been working, you won't go through that fatigue. There will be lifting restrictions for a while, but you should recover quite quickly if it is done laprascopically. My cousin gave me a kidney and she was up and washing her hair 2 days after the surgery. I'm sure you'll be fine if you are otherwise healthy.
