Re: Stage lV Renal Cell Carcinoma, Interleukin 2 therapy anyone?

Hi,

I'm in a very similar situation to you. My husband was admitted to Accident and Emergency in Feb this year with chest pains that turned out to be muscular. Following tests he was found to have several nodules on both lungs. A CT scan revealed to our total shock that he had a huge tumour on his right kidney. He had no symptoms at all other than general tiredness which we put down to work. He had the kidney removed a few weeks ago and we go for another scan on monday to find out if there are any changes to lungs. We met oncologist last week and she said that Interleukin 2 is probable going to be the best treatment option for him. I'm very scared as he's only 43 and we have four kids to think about. Have you been given any idea about likely prognosis?

My thoughts are with you xxx
