Compression sock is a good idea, or you could ask your doctor for a letter stating that you need ice and bring an instant one. That might or might not work with security.

Or, you can bring several ziplock bags, then go to a food service place past the security checkpoint and buy an extra-large cup of ice. They probably won't charge too much.
