It sounds like a reaction to the drug. I am surprised that you were given it for sleep issues. My mother was given it to help the psychotic issues related to Alzheimers.

I agree with the previous poster. Read about the med, then decide if you feel you should take it. Please also contract your GP about the episode you experienced.

You might try just an OTC sleep aid and see if that works...
