If the ginger tea helps, drink it. It's pretty harmless and it helps some people.

Your diet sounds pretty good. Still, like Johnah said, triggers vary a lot, so you might have to experiment to see what works. For some people, dairy helps, for others dairy makes it worse.

As far as PPI drugs go, they are basically all the same. Some people find that one works a little better or with fewer side effects than another, but on average they are all equally effective.

Anything else? Elevating the head of your bed, maybe. Prop it up on blocks 6 inches, if you can.
