Yes, I'm pretty sure the tonsils are the root of the problem. I will try the fiber though and see if it helps.
DiamondEyes and Misspring, have either of you found that the tonsillectomy helped your symptoms? Mine is scheduled for Friday morning. I'm scared that the pain will be really bad. How long was it until you could eat solid food?
