The MRA results in conjunction with your very brief history would make me wonder if you have a vasculitis going on in the cerebral vessels. This is an inflammation of the vessels that can cause thickening of the artery walls and reduced flow. It occurs in many autoimmune disorders, like lupus, and can definitely cause fever and cognitive problems. I think your rheum must be on the right track to pinning down what ails you. This can be treated and controlled, but the appt with neurologist will be helpful, and then hopefully your rheum and neuro will consult with one another and plan your treatment. Please let us know how you are doing and what you find out.
