Re: Symptoms and pap results AGC/LSIL

Okay so here is my update:

I have had a lot of time to think about my options and what is going on. My symptoms and what has changed over the last three years. I have to be true to myself and believe what my body is telling me and at this point it is saying something isn't right.

I called on Friday due to getting an infection from the biopsies. I spoke to the doctor who said that I have severe dysplasia but a clear ecc. I asked at this point if that meant CinIII. He would not answer my question he just kept saying severe dysplasia. I thought that this was one in the same? Am I wrong? He bounced around my question three times and then I let it go. I do not like this doctor. I know that everyone recommends an ON/GYN and I understand why but after being told by the intern and the nurse there would be an endometrial biopsy he did not do one. This is where he stated that I was too young to have anything else wrong. When I spoke to him on the phone he told me that AGC is over called and it is nothing. That bothered me as well. His whole demeanor and lack of empathy really put me off. Not to mention that I am 1 1/2 years away from the recommendation of an endometrial biopsy. Why wouldn't he do it just to be sure? Also I don't understand why he didn't even want to hear my symptoms. He just did the mandatory and that was it. When I asked if there was glandular involvement with my severe dysplasia he acted like I was crazy and said no the AGC is nothing to worry about.

So I have a couple of questions:
When they do an ECC do they only take one sample?
How accurate is an ECC? Can it miss stuff?

I have decided to return to my GYN. He was the chief of our local hospital and not only do I trust him but he has a much better bedside manner. I do not have cancer. I have precancer and even if I did I think I would return to my Gyn. I do not want to ever deal with that doctor again. Am I wrong? To me it is all about trust and I do not trust the doctor I saw. Even though my GYN might not be use to dealing with AGC I have had it ruled out by the ON/GYN so the severe dysplasia can be dealt with by my current GYN. I know there are people that will say that I am wrong but for me it is the right decision.

Any thoughts and opinions would be great! I have tough skin so be honest.

UTI I think is still present. I am going to my GP tomorrow to see about another prescription for it. I was given amoxicillin and I don't think that it had any affect on it. I am still in a great deal of pain so maybe it just wasn't the right antibiotic.

On the upside!!!! My ECC was negative!!!! That I am happy about, just still a little concerned like most women that something might have been missed.
