I am afraid that your neuro does not sound like an MS Specialist as she went right from the MRI to the spinal tap to make a decision. Based upon the fact that approx. 83% of MSers have ovoid lesions, I would think that this pushed you towards having an MS Specialist look at you.
Some other disease which can present with ovoids (many start with ovoid and change as the disease progresses: Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy, Post-Infectious Encephalitis, Alexander's disease, Canavan disease, Cockayne's syndrome, and Pelizaeus-Merzbacher's disease;.......
While you could have fibro and MS, I would doubt the veracity of fibro alone in your case- (my non-medical opinion). You might also check the fibro board on this website as you might find people who share similar symptoms as you.
