Scaphoid (navicular) fracture and screw/pin surgery: do I need a second opinion??

I broke my right scaphoid in my wrist in a motorcycle accident ten
days ago. I researched all options and, considering my job relies on
my ability to write and type, I wanted the quickest recovery and best
long teme solution. Before the orthopedic specialist even came in I'd researched what was available
and was 100% certain I wanted a pin. She agrees and says that it's a
relatively easy procedure and wants to get me in next week.

My question is: should I seek a second opinion?
Are scaphoid surgeries pretty open and shut cases?

The we doc said the bone looks displaced about 1mm, but this doc said
it doesn't look displaced at all. So I'm wondering If i should ask
another.

I know this is an important bone that I don't want to have problems
with the rest of my life. So I want to make sure it's done right.

Is there even a wrong way to do this? (old procedures, older hardware, etc)

Thanks!
