My cholesterol at the point of being diagnosed with underactive thyroid was 8!! I've been on Levo for six weeks and it's reduced to 7.8, not great but in the right direction. Question is, do you think they'll keep upping my dose of levo until the cholesterol goes down, I'm currently on 25mcg going back to docs today for 6 week check. I'm not keen on statins as I've been told of the terrible side affects.

Is there anyone out there with a similar problem? I'm concerned I'll end up with a stroke if my cholesterol doesn't go down. By the way, my diet is good so it's thyroid related nothing else!!
