| Have I got MD?
Hi All
I have posted in the general health but thought it might also be an idea to post here.
I am 52 and living in UK.
In the last month I have been experiencing severe aches in the muscles in my pelvic area. I have gone from being able to do substantial 1 - 2 hour long brisk walks to struggling to walk for 10 minutes - all in such a short space of time. Every step I take is painful.
I was diagnosed with Plantar Faciitis about 2 months ago. Inflammation of muscles on the sole of my feet.
My legs (particularly my calves) are swollen.
I have had blood tests and my AST level was raised.
My doctor did an ECG and it showed "right ventricular conduction delay". I have been referred to a heart specialist and am currently wearing an 8 day heart monitor and will have an echocardiogram next week. I also suffer from palpitations off and on all day.
My creatine levels were normal.
The muscles around my eyes ache.
Joints on my thumbs are swollen and painful.
I think I might have LGMD - any thoughts?
I don't want to look like I am totally neurotic in front of my doctor but feel that I should be referred to a neurologist.
Would welcome some advice
Thanks
