Re: Minimally invasive lumbar spine surgery?

I've had DDD since my early 20's and also arthritis. I only recently began a heavy lifting job in May and that is.the month my vertebrae collapsed due to.the.discs being almost nothing from the deterioration from.the DDD. I also.had herniation on what part there was of discs. Before that I basically sat at a desk for a living, began exercising two months prior to new lifting job to get into.shape and honestly hadn't felt better up until that day I felt it while.reaching for Something heavy. I could not barely walk at times and moving while trying to lie down was a joke. Morphine, Valium, still was in God Aweful pain. I couldn't do anything. Shooting blow torch and electrical.pains down my legs that came from my back. Dr said of course I didn't have to have surgery, but look at my quality of life at the moment and he could guarantee a better one with surgery but no guarantees exactly what or.how much. But def better than this for another 40 years. Some on here have it and They are worse after or same. I will always have issues, like I have apx 30% numbness in my left calf and foot and It's way too early to know if.it.will.get better or stay. I'm so happy I did the surgery though, I'll.take this numbness over the horrible.pain I had anyday!
