What kind of medication did you take? If you're relying on tums, they can create a rebound effect - you're feeling acid so you eat some tums and take the acid out of your stomach, so your body goes to work creating even MORE of it because it really needs it to be there to digest your food. The doctor can give you something more effective if you're having long-term reflux issues.
