Crossing Eyes - Post Lasik

Right after lasik I had trouble focusing, but this new problem didn't surface until around 3 months in - It's now been 7 months. The problem is most prominent when I read. It's hard to focus and I feel like my eyes are crossing; I can't help but look at my nose. Mid and long distance the problem is only slight.

My optometrist gave me reading glasses that helped reduced my nose from obscuring the center of my vision, but I still find it hard to focus and get constant eye strain and headaches, probably because I don't actually need the extra magnification couples with my underlying problems. My ophthalmologist, who did the surgery, brushed off my concerns when I went to see him. He said it may fix itself in time. Maybe isn't good enough, I can't function like this; I'm a creative writing student, reading is my life. He keeps saying he's happy with the results. Well, I'm not.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
