Ilovedollhouses i don't think you read my post correctly. My BP was 130 over 90 after taking a long walk to the doctor. My BP is not the problem. I have stopped taking Atenolol 3 days a go and my heart rate is still high. I am not worried about the BP at this stage but the heart rate which is abnormal after i stopped Atenolol. I am 40 years old heavy for my height but eat right and am waiting for the heart rate to go down before i start exercising to loose the excess weight. Blood work done is recently showed everything to be normal. Put on Atenolol by a GP after one reading of 140/90 which you say is normal.
